Classes

  • We are based upstairs in the lovely room above Papillon Coffee House in Castle Road in Bedford. Postcode MK40 3RF

  • Beginner

    No experience of using a sewing machine is required to be able to complete this class.

    Beginner plus

    You should be able to thread your machine and wind a bobbin independently and will know how to sew a simple seam.

    Confident beginner

    You will be confident in using a sewing machine and can complete simple projects such as an envelope cushion cover or a zipped pouch.

  • Beginner dressmaking

    You should be confident in using a sewing machine and able to construct simple projects, such as a cushion cover or a bag.

  • All you need to bring is your sewing machine. I will provide all other materials and equipment you may need.

  • No problem! If you need to borrow one, I can provide one for £5 for the session. Please add at the time of booking.

  • Maximum group size is 4 people.

  • If you need to cancel your booking, and I am able to fill your place (from a waiting list), I will offer you a full refund. If I cannot fill your place, in order to cover my costs, unfortunately no refund will be available.

  • Your first drink and a piece of cake is included in the price of the class. Any further refreshments will need to be paid for.

Shipping & Returns

  • We aim to dispatch your order within 1-2 working days (excluding weekends and bank holidays).

  • When shipping to the UK you can choose from Royal Mail Tracked 24 or 48 hour delivery.

    Tracked 24 is charged at a flat rate of £3.70, and Tracked 48 is charged at a flat rate of £3.30.

    If you live locally and would prefer to collect, this can be arranged. Please email me prior to checkout to confirm.

  • When shipping internationally, we use Royal Mail International Tracked.

    Shipping is broken into 4 zones:

    Europe: £15

    Canada: £23.75

    USA: £25

    Australia/NZ: £28.60

    Shipping can take up to 7 working days via Royal Mail, however please allow up to 14 working days before contacting us about your order.

    Customs fees in the destination country must be paid by the customer. Sew Dreamy are not responsible for these or any other import fees.

    By placing an order you agree that to be held by those terms.

  • We want you to be delighted with your purchase. However, if you are not completely satisfied for any reason, you may return it to us for a full refund. Please contact us at sewdreamyfabric@gmail.com before returning anything to us. Returned items must be unopened and in their original condition. In this instance, shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer and we cannot be held responsible for items lost or damaged in transit. Please note we do not accept returns of cut items (fabric, elastic etc), reduced items or remnants.

  • After receiving you returns and inspecting the condition of your item(s) we will process your refund. Please allow up to 7 days from the receipt of your item to be processed. We will notify you by email when your refund has been processed.

  • In the unfortunate event of an item being faulty, please contact us at sewdreamyfabric@gmail.com within 48 hours of receiving your goods. We will then contact you with details of how to return your item to us for a replacement. In this instance, shipping costs will be reimbursed by us and a replacement item sent at no extra cost to you. A description of the damage must be provided with the item.

Terms & Conditions

  • We highly recommend that you pre-wash your fabric, as some fabrics can shrink up to 5% of their original size in the first wash. Please bear this in mind when ordering. We cannot accept responsibility for fabric shrinkage.

  • In order to comply with legislation, when selling scissors, rotary cutters or replacement blades, we use Royal Mail age verification to ensure that the parcel is delivered to someone over 18. By buying one of these products you confirm that you are over 18.

  • We have made every effort to capture quality images and describe our products and fabrics as accurately as possible in order to help you purchase online with confidence. However please be aware that colours may differ slightly to the original fabric, due to variations of computer screens.

    To ensure complete accuracy when choosing a fabric, we recommend that you order a free fabric sample first.

    If you have any questions about colour matching, pattern scales etc. please don’t hesitate to ask!

  • Up to three swatches can be requested free of charge.

    To order, please go to the ‘Swatches’ section of ‘Fabric’.

    Then make sure to put the names of up to 3 fabrics in the ‘Additional Notes’ section of checkout.

    Shipping is either £1.50 for just the samples, or they can be put in with the rest of your order and included in the regular shipping. Please note that samples can only be shipped to UK customers unless part of an order.
